We love SNOW!!!

Isaac "snowboarding" down the hill on his sled
Ivy - all bundled up and ready to ride!

Isaac got a really cool new sled from Santa for Christmas. The day after Christmas, Adam and I bundled up the kids and took them sledding with my brother Chris and his two girls. Isaac is fearless! He had a BLAST! Ivy was bundled up so well that she could barely move. She just sat still and sucked on her binkie - she reminded us of Maggie Simpson. What a fun family activity. We will definately have to do this again before Winter is over!

Cousins!!

Isaac and Ivy got the chance to spend some fun time with their cousins over the holidays. I am so grateful that they have cousins living so close to them and that they are able to see their cousings often and develop relationships with them.
Ivy is so in love with her big girl cousin Jayde. She completely lights up every time she sees her and says "Jayde". I know that she will always look up to Jayde and that Jayde will be a great example to her. She is so lucky to have Lexi and Savanna too and I can only begin to imagine the drama that we have in store for us when all of them start playing together (GIRLS!!!)
Isaac can't seem to get enough of his baby boy cousin Taggart. He loves to play with him and make him smile and laugh. Kaden is Isaac's best bud and they are absolutely crazy together - they will have many fun years ahead of them! Isaac also loves to play with Jayde (although, since she is a "girl", I am not sure that he would want anyone to know this!)
I have so many fun memories with my cousins that I will always cherish! Life gets busy and it is hard to keep in touch, but I love them all very much! I love watching Isaac and Ivy interact with their cousins, and I look forward to the memories they will create together!

Merry Christmas 2008

This Christmas was a very fun one for our family. Isaac and Ivy were so excited on Christmas morning.

Ivy didn't know what to think - she is still too young to really comprehend what was going on. She turned around and went flying down the stairs on her belly to see what was waiting for her.
I know that Santa had a blast choosing the little girl toys for Ivy. She loves "babies", and Elmo right now - so Santa did very well for her.

Isaac is still trying to figure out how Santa got the glass off of the fireplace so that he could deliver the toys (his mind is always trying to figure something out). He has started to get very interested in big boy stuff which has been hard for me to accept. He got an awesome new sled (pictures of our sledding adventure will come soon!!), and another addition to his Geo Trax train set.

Santa was very kind to our family and brought us a Nintendo Wii and Rock Band - what FUN!! Adam has been like a little kid with this, and I have to say, I have enjoyed it a lot myself so far! This is also something that little Isaac really enjoys and is quite good at! I know that our family will have hours of fun playing the Wii!!

Happy Halloween 2008

We had a fun time celebrating Halloween this year. Adam and Isaac carved pumpkins a few days before. I was the pumpkin de-gutter! (I have never been very good at pumpkin carving). Adam is really creative, so Isaac and him did a great job! Ivy was fast asleep for this project - maybe she can get involved next year!
I have always loved the movie "The Wizard of Oz", as wierd as it is, so I wanted the four of us to dress up as characters from the movie. Neither one of my boys (Isaac or Adam) would go for this.
Isaac is a huge fan of Superheros, so of course he wanted to dress up as the popular Iron Man. (We thought that his costume looked a bit like an outfit that might be worn on Blades of Glory, but he thought that he looked really tough!).
Ivy doesn't have much of a say at this age as to what she dresses up as , so I couldn't resist dressing her up as Dorothy, and she looked absolutely adorable!
The day before Halloween we went to the school parade - Ivy loved watching her big brother come through. She really liked the scary costumes - they made her laugh.
On Halloween night we did the regular Trick or Treating, and then ate chili and breadsticks at our house. Grandma Barton made some delicious popcorn balls too! What a fun holiday!

In the making!!!!
